Comfortable ambiance with an inviting atmosphere.
Unfortunately, my stay was marred by a small double room that felt cramped. The shower cubicle was awkwardly positioned within the toilet area, making it difficult to access. the noise from the main road was intrusive, and the absence of sufficient soundproofing led to disrupted sleep throughout the night.

The bathroom light was a bit dim, making it challenging for personal grooming.

my stay at talbot house was underwhelming, to say the least. the room was cramped, feeling like a tiny coffin, and the shower was a puzzling torture chamber—good luck getting in! after all this, a welcome gift would’ve been nice, but clearly, they’re too busy accommodating others. i almost intended to leave a good review, but just couldn’t.

The location is brilliant, right in the center, making it easy to explore. The food was exceptional, with a standout breakfast that featured a wonderful selection, including locally sourced ingredients. The room was cozy, particularly benefited from a multi-point USB charger, and real milk provided for tea instead of the usual UHT. While there is no on-site parking, a public car park nearby makes parking easy. the absence of evening meals and limited space in the smallest room might be drawbacks for some.
